COURSE DESCRIPTION

The Online Health Care Management Course provides students with a framework for addressing management issues in healthcare organizations. This program introduces the student to healthcare management and gives the student an understanding of the administrative functions in health care. 

E&S Academy is a reputable vocational school in the state of New Jersey. This is a new program we offer because it is in high demand by employers. Upon completion of the course, the student will have knowledge of HIPPA regulations, patient rights, law and ethics in healthcare, types of insurance and ICP_10-CD, HCPCS and CPT codes. 

WHAT DOES A HEALTH CARE MANAGER DO?

Health care managers are in charge of planning, directing, and coordinating healthcare providers’ business activities.

Health care manager’s tasks and responsibilities may include the following:

  • Collaborating with other healthcare providers to increase the efficiency and quality of direct healthcare delivery.
  • Keeping up with changes and new rules and regulations in order to ensure that the healthcare facilities where they work are compliant.
  • Management of the healthcare facility’s finances, such as overhead expenses, patient fees, and billing.

Hospitals, physician offices, outpatient care centers, rehabilitation centers, government organizations, research laboratories, colleges, and a variety of other places.

WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT WITH E&S ACADEMY

This program focuses on the role of a healthcare manager and is 45 hours in length. All course content and material will be accessible online.

This online program starts with providing a definition of health care management and covering the different responsibilities of the health care administration department. Then it continues to cover medical law and ethics, including patient rights, the different insurance claims available, and health care human resources responsibilities, and the five most significant challenges.
