COURSE DESCRIPTION

This course covers the understanding of the daily working environment of a Personal Fitness Technician. The course discusses the skills the PFT must have to work independently or corporately with individuals or groups of people to help them achieve their fitness and strength goals. Further, the course covers how to effectively manage and communicate with your clients and colleagues and fully understand the expectations that the job will expect of you.

This course is to provide personal fitness technicians with the expertise of training various clients and helping them reach their goals.

WHAT DOES A PERSONAL FITNESS TECHNICIAN DO?

Personal trainers analyze their clients’ physical strengths and shortcomings and design personalized training regimens for them. They offer physical and emotional support to consumers and keep track of their development on a regular basis. They also ensure that clients are not hurt throughout the training process.

A Personal Fitness Technician’s tasks and responsibilities may include the following:

  • Show clients ways to perform different exercises and routines.
  • Assist clients with activities to prevent injury and increase fitness.
  • Customize workouts to the fitness levels of each client.
  • Keep track of the client’s development and provide general fitness and health information and resources
  • If needed, administer emergency first assistance
