Lesson 5: Royalty-Free Images and Details to Remember

Royalty-free images are essential to design or create original content. There are standards E & S must maintain to remain authentic and within the legal boundaries of the internet. To avoid issues, Marketing Specialists are required to follow the standard procedures of designing images.

Websites, such as Pixabay. Unsplash, Pexels, and Shutterstock make images safe to use without asking permission or giving credit to the artist because all content is released under the Creative Commons CC0 even for commercial purposes.

The content created should be quality.

Image details to remember:
  • Images/Videos must be royalty-free
  • Images should have the E & S logo, slogan, and contact details unless it is a quote or indirect method of marketing
  • Pixabay and Shutterstock are safe sites for free images
  • Photos of classrooms and students can be used in images if students provide consent
  • No profanity or inappropriate images will be tolerated
  • Discretion is advised when choosing images
  • All content created must receive approval from the Marketing Manager before usage
  • Avoid controversial content such as politics or religion
